Dainik Fight
Against Criminal
A registered Indian news title, founded in 2016 and published by Aspect Multimedia Pvt. Ltd. from Andheri West, Mumbai.
A newspaper with a name that states its purpose
Dainik Fight Against Criminal — known to its readers simply as FAC News — was founded in 2016 out of a straightforward frustration: too many genuine complaints were reaching no one, and too many stories were being dropped the moment they became inconvenient.
The title is registered with the Registrar of Newspapers for India under RNI No. MAHHIN/2016/71734 and is owned and published by Aspect Multimedia Pvt. Ltd., of which I am Director. It appears in print and online, in Hindi and English, and reports on crime, corruption, human rights and civic accountability across Maharashtra.
It is a small operation, and deliberately so. What it offers a reader is not scale but persistence — the willingness to stay with a matter after the first day, and to print the part that other people would rather see left out.

Masthead & registration
Ownership, registration and contact details, published in full. A reader is entitled to know exactly who is behind what they are reading.
Four things you will find in every edition
Crime reporting from the ground
Cases followed from complaint to court, reported by visiting the place and the people rather than rewriting a statement.
Citizens' complaints taken seriously
Grievances brought to the desk by ordinary readers — checked, documented and pursued with the offices responsible.
Accountability journalism
Public money, public offices and public services examined in plain language, with documents cited and responses carried.
Community & welfare
Relief efforts, social work and the people holding a neighbourhood together — reported as news, not as filler.
Print, web and the FAC News channels
The printed edition circulates in Maharashtra. Everything else is published on the website and the official social channels.
Who pays for this, and who does not
FAC News is independently owned by Aspect Multimedia Pvt. Ltd. It is not controlled by a political party, a corporate group or a proprietor with interests to protect. That independence is the whole point of the title, and it is defended in practice through a few firm commitments:
- No individual or organisation can buy editorial coverage, favourable or otherwise.
- Advertising, where it is carried, is marked as advertising and has no bearing on what is reported.
- Editorial decisions rest with the editor. No outside party sees a story before it is published.
- Where the publication or its editor has any interest in a matter being reported, that interest is disclosed in the report.
- Errors are corrected openly, and anyone named in a report has a right of reply.
The full editorial method and standards are set out on the journalism page.
